Grim Teddy' Cosplay Teddies has a goal.

We are going to be setting up and promoting a charity here in Oklahoma supporting Art and Music in public education.  If you are familiar with this state and the state of our public school funding and education woes, you know we need to help.

For the Teddy Bear and Cosplay lovers out there,

I've created a Go Fund Me to get Grim Teddy's cosplay teddy bears into print!

After more than 300 teddy bears drawn and many of them turning to themes or cosplay styling, this was the next step.  Hoping to see these guys in print soon.

I've previously completed one 100 entry themed daily challenge, and to make it more fun, it was all done in Teddy Bears. Needing to push myself more, I've decided to attack the 2nd list of 100 pics I have. While some themes are on both lists, they are some major difference as well. The duplicates will challenge me to try a different twist on the image.

I've seen the Daily Sketch/Pic Challenges floating around Deviant Art for a while and I decided it was time for me to get serious about my art, simple as it is, and set some goals. I have some teddy bear themed characters and stories I want to bring to reality (published) and I was overdue getting to these projects. After reading the Daily Sketch challenges I had seen a few others commit to, I decided it would be a great way to impose a structured "deadline' on myself to create. I found several lists, and picked one at random. At this time, I have completed 66 days out of 100. To add to the challenge, and to keep it focused on my goals, every image is Teddy Bear themed in some way. Each day I have to start and finish the image for the day, no pre-drawing, no making it up later. I have been posting them here and in my FB page. (#31 Flowers was done on time and initially posted in FB but did not make it into DA until today, my oversight). Early on I was working in regular graphite pencil, a medium I quit focusing on a long time ago but still dabbled in. I enjoyed the shading and nuances I could get with smudging. But I have since returned to pen and ink, the style I enjoy and would be the best platform for my future storytelling and art.
